Cynthia MacRitchie founded Keeping the Balance in 2007, and has since helped more than 100 small business clients bring balance to their financials and their lives. Cynthia is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor and professional Bookkeeper with more than 20 years of experience in bookkeeping, IT, and customer service. She specializes in working with small businesses (fewer than 20 employees), especially in the retail, professional services, legal and construction industries.
Prior to founding Keeping the Balance, Cynthia served as the staff bookkeeper for several well respected accounting firms including Hobson, Bishoff & Dowdy, PLLC, in Tampa and Wathen Accounting in Temple Terrace.
As a long-time Tampa resident, Cynthia does volunteer work for several community organizations including Hands On Tampa Bay. Her personal interests include gardening, stained glass crafting, quilting, and bowling.
Stefania began employment at Keeping the Balance in the spring of 2014 while furthering her college education. She has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida, as well as a career diploma and national certification in pharmacy. Though extremely passionate about healthcare, she has found a niche in the bookkeeping field. At the office, Stefania is responsible for processing client payrolls, maintaining clients’ financials on a weekly and monthly basis, making timely state and federal tax payments and overseeing workflow amongst the bookkeeping staff. She spends her time outside of work with her husband and two sons.
Sabine joined the Keeping the Balance team in the spring of 2015. Born and raised in Munich, Germany she has been living in Tampa since 1994. Sabine worked in the insurance field in Germany and Florida until taking over all financial aspects of her husband’s software integration business in 2000. At Keeping the Balance, her responsibilities include processing client payrolls, quarterly and annual reports and tax payments, as well as monthly bookkeeping. Outside of work she spends her time with her husband and three children and likes to find and keep her own balance practicing yoga, reading, and enjoying a good cup of tea.
